Jagiellonia 1:2 Raków: Królowie wyjazdów

Inter will be looking to win at home against Lazio to become league leaders, while the Biancocelesti are hunting down a Champions League spot.

It will be a tense match at San Siro between Inter and Lazio who both need wins to help in their retrospective goals: the Nerazzurri hope that Napoli slip up to regain top spot, while the Biancocelesti are equal on points with Juve and must win to stay in the race on the final day of the season.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Lazio have won only two of their last nine games (D2 L5) against Inter in the Italian top-flight and have not kept a clean sheet against the Nerazzurri in Serie A since a 1-0 win in March 2019.

Inter have won four of their last five home games against Lazio in Serie A, drawing the most recent one: 1-1 on 19 May 2024, with goals scored by Daichi Kamada and Denzel Dumfries.

Lazio conceded six goals in the reverse fixture against Inter – the last time they conceded more goals against the Nerazzurri in a single Serie A season was in 1965-66 (7).

Inter drew their last home game of the season in Serie A (1-1 against Lazio) last season, after having won 13 of the previous 15 (L2).

DID YOU KNOW?

Lazio have won just three of their last nine league games (D5 L1), with these victories coming in each of their last three away games in Serie A, keeping a clean sheet each time; the last time the Biancocelesti managed four consecutive away wins in the competition was in November 2022, and they also never conceded a goal on that occasion.

Nicola Zalewski became Inter’s 19th different goalscorer in Serie A this season, more than any other team and the Nerazzurri’s highest in a single campaign in the competition.

Inter (29 years, 207 days) and Lazio (27 years, 242 days) are two of the three teams with the highest average age in this Serie A campaign (considering starters and substitutes). The Nerazzurri will be the second team with the highest average age to finish a Serie A season in the top two positions in the era of three points for a win, after Milan 2004/05 (29 years, 354 days – 2nd position) – penalizations included.

With Matías Vecino`s goal against Juventus, Lazio have now scored seven goals from the 90th minute onwards in this Serie A campaign: more than any other team; the Biancocelesti have ended a single season in the competition with more goals in this period of play only in 1994/95 (eight) and 2019/20 (eight).

PLAYERS

Lazio are the team against which Hakan Çalhanoglu has provided the most assists in Serie A (5); the Inter midfielder has also scored three goals against this opponent and only against Fiorentina has he been involved in more goals in the competition (nine – 5G+4A).

Valentín Castellanos (10 goals), along with Lautaro Martínez (12), is one of two Argentinian players to have reached double figures in goals in this championship; only four Argentines from Lazio have scored more goals in a Serie A season: Silvestro Pisa (14 in 1941/42), Hernán Crespo (26 in 2000/01 and 13 in 2001/12), Claudio López (15 in 2002/03) and Mauro Zárate (13 in 2008/09).
